ABOUT RENATE
Renate Sparkle is a multi-dimensional performance artist and musician and has been described as having the grace of a swan and the power of a dragon. Renate has been teaching belly dance and fire performance for over 20 years. She is currently performing with Rensa Fire. Renate was one of the original members of the Board of Directors for CampFire Flow Arts Retreat in Minnesota and is Fire Safety Certified through the Flow Arts Institute. Her primary dance style is a blend of modern tribal fusion and Belly Dance as a Moving Meditation™. Renate has been dancing since she has been able to walk and has been teaching and performing throughout the United States for over 30 years. She began dancing as a moving meditation when she injured her back over two decades ago. These moving meditation techniques have strengthened her body, mind, and spirit, which brought her to creating the Belly Dance as a Moving Meditation™ program. Renate will resume teaching classes this coming January and is currently attending school for yoga teacher training, meditation teacher training as well as continuing her dance studies with the great Tiare Valouria. She is also a Certified Sound Healer through Jonathon Goldman’s Sound Healing Association and Reiki II certified. Renate studied sitar in a Kali Durga temple in Varanasi, India and studied classical opera in New York. As a vibrational healer, Renate has studied aromatherapy, color therapy, dance, and embodies music as a form of connection to the Universe. Renate teaches Healing through Sacred Sound, Belly Dance as a Moving Meditation™, and facilitates Sound Healing Meditations.
